What is the opportunity?

We are hiring a Community Engagement Lead to support the AHF’s Fellowship Circle 2027 cohort of Indigenous, Black, and racialized women pursuing careers in tech and business. This is a newly created part-time contract role that sits at the intersection of two things AHF does well: building culturally resonant mentoring relationships, and opening doors with employers. You’ll work directly with 40-50 Fellows and 20-30 Mentors over a 10-week program cycle, then carry that relationship through structured follow-up with Fellows.

If you’re a natural connector who enjoys outreach and supporting individuals at pivotal moments in their careers, and you’re passionate about building evidence-based, quality mentoring for Indigenous, Black, and racialized women in tech and business, we encourage you to apply.

  • Coordinate employer connect sessions and employer engagement in Career Readiness Bootcamp.
  • Conduct employer outreach, representing Accelerate Her Future, the program, and Fellows in a professional manner.

Fellow Support & Outcome Tracking

  • Conduct an individual mid-program check-in with each Fellow and Mentors.
  • Conduct structured 30-day post-program follow-up check-ins with Fellows, using a standardized protocol.
  • Work alongside Program Evaluator and Program Associate to support data collection and analysis needs.

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with the Program Lead and Program Associate on scheduling, logistics, and the overall Fellow and Mentor experience.
  • Contribute observations and documentation to support cohort’s evaluation.
  • Attend meetings and respond in a timely manner to communication.
  • Assist with other tasks and duties as required by the team.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years of experience in a Community Engagement role, supporting mentoring, coaching, employment, or workforce-development programs, ideally with equity-deserving youth or young adults.
  • Proven experience in an outreach-focused role, with confidence directly engaging employers and partners
  • Genuine understanding of the barriers Indigenous, Black, and racialized women face in tech and business hiring, and comfort naming systemic (not individual-deficit) explanations for those barriers.
  • Natural relational skills as this role is built on warm, individualized relationship building.
  • Comfort with light data tracking and reporting (spreadsheets, structured check-in protocols).
  • Ability to work independently as a proactive self-starter in a remote, part-time capacity, while staying closely coordinated with a small team.
  • Lived or proximate experience with the communities AHF serves is considered a strong asset.

What’s in it for you?

  • A dynamic and highly collaborative team environment
