What is the opportunity?

We’re looking for a graphic designer to help bring a new project to life. The project will help medium- and large-sized employers build fairer ways to hire, develop and promote talent, so that Indigenous, Black and racialized women have equal opportunities to advance into leadership.

Scope of Work

  • Designing practical toolkits, guides and tools for employers;
  • Designing reports and learning materials;
  • Creating infographics and data visualizations;
  • Designing presentations, editable templates and event materials;
  • Creating social media templates and promotional graphics; and
  • Formatting materials in English and French.

Materials must reflect AHF’s brand guidelines and mission while suitable for employer audiences, and must meet accessibility standards. All work produced will be owned by Accelerate Her Future.

  • a link to an online portfolio with 3–5 relevant samples, including at least one toolkit, guide or resource designed for an employer audience, and at least one created for a social impact, non-profit or community organization;
  • experience designing accessible and bilingual (English/French) materials;
  • the design softwares and tools you use, and confirmation that final files can be provided in editable formats (Accelerate Her Future may supply/ give access to design software tools);
  • general availability and typical turnaround times;
  • a clearly stated hourly fee; and
  • two references, at least one from a social impact organization.

Familiarity with Accelerate Her Future’s work, or with similar social impact organizations, is an asset. Designers with lived experience as Indigenous, Black or racialized women are encouraged to apply.

Please limit the EOI to three (3) pages, not including the portfolio link. No design concepts, mock-ups or spec work are required or will be accepted; selection will be based on existing portfolio samples. Accelerate Her Future was founded on land and waters of the traditional territory of many nations including the Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabeg, the Attawandaron, and the Métis within the lands protected by the “Dish with One Spoon” wampum agreement.

We respect Indigenous Peoples’ deep connections to the land and waters, and affirm our commitment to continued learning while engaging our head, heart, and hands to advance the TRC Call to Action 92 and the MMIWG2S+ Calls to Justice 6.1, 11.1, and 15. We invite you to learn more about the history and presence of the Indigenous communities on the land and waters you gather on and work with us to build a better future for all.
